PASIFIKA FESTIVAL 2018

Every year Wellington City Council host a Pasifika Festival with the support of local Pasifika groups. This year the festival was held at Odlins Plaza on 20 Jan 2018.

The attending Pasifika groups provided a variety of cultural food, arts and crafts, Pacific beats and plenty of entertainment. The day was exciting and action packed, full of colour, and Wellington put on some of its great weather.

The Cook Islands (NZ) Society had planned to have a stall last year and have been busy making vibrant Ei Upoko as a fundraiser.

The demand for the Ei Upoko was large and required more to be made on the day.
It was a fabulous day that enabled our ethnically diverse city the opportunity to enjoy the pride and passion of the Pacific.
